In 1993, husband and wife team Jerry and Kari Thompson shared the common goal of creating a family business that would treat customers and employees how they themselves would enjoy being treated; a company that would be filled with integrity at all levels and a company that their community could come to trust and count on. Twenty three years later and going strong, that company exists: Integrity Electric, Inc.
In achieving their common goal, Jerry and Kari Thompson merged two very different professional backgrounds which proved to be a synergistic match…
About Jerry Thompson
Jerry Thompson is a long time Marin County resident as well as a graduate of Redwood High School and College of Marin (1978 A.S. Science Degree).
Jerry began his electrical career in 1979 in downtown San Francisco as an Apprentice Electrician followed by Journeyman Electrician and Job Foreman positions. During his 12 year Electrical Union career, Jerry obtained exceptional experience on high-rise office, commercial and retail structures and even landmarks such as the Palace of Fine Arts, Coit Tower and the Moscone Center. In training and directing men, Jerry had key opportunities to hone not only his electrical skills but also his leadership, communication, organization and project management skills.
In 1992, Jerry had a very unique and exciting opportunity: employment under the NBC studio lighting designer for the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Jerry was able to add a whole new dimension to his electrical education; an area of expertise filled with artistic nuances, precision, varied opinions and demanding time constraints. He loved every minute!
In 1993, Jerry and wife Kari founded Integrity Electric, Inc. Given Jerry’s thorough and varied electrical background, along with his love of people and service, becoming a business owner has provided Jerry with a great sense of purpose and satisfaction.
Jerry is a very energetic, hands-on owner. Through hard work, integrity and perseverance, Jerry has earned the trust of business leaders, customers and employees alike. He is proud of the long-term relationships that have been formed through the years – many of which began when the doors opened in 1993! Jerry is known to say, “In business, all you have is your reputation. Happy customers are the best advertisement!”
Jerry is quite the family man and one of his greatest joys is spending time just being a dad. He loves snow ski racing, sailing, Scuba diving, the great outdoors and vacationing with his family. Jerry also loves to jam with his friends! He’s an accomplished drummer, pianist, and harmonica player; often he plays drums with the worship band at his church.
